Raaga plates

A fully biodegradable dinner plate series is developed. Hampi plates are disposable plates made from naturally shed leaves of the Areca Nut tree, which grow abundantly in Tamil Nadu, a state in Southern India. The leaves are collected from the ground and then pressed piece by piece. This process uses no toxins or other chemicals, only heat and pressure. The plates are therefore fully biodegradable and 100% chemical free.

Is it not a great idea for party’s etcetera, serving food in a decorative way, all the plates are slightly different because of deformation after production and the humidity in the environment, and the rests and dirty plates can go directly in the composting box.
