Sustainability Aspects: Cork is already a very sustainable, and renewable, material but this furniture is even made from cork waste from the bottle stopper industry. Playful design.

Cortica

The Cortiça lounge chair is made out of waste cork from the bottle industry. The chair show the materials unique 3 dimensional bending and absorption capabilities. The chair is shaped from flat sheets, giving the impression of floating in air. Cork only limited absorbs humidity so it can both be used in and outdoors.

Daniel Michalik designed and produces different stools and chairs as well as accesoires out of cork.
