technology that’s simple, fresh and helpful!

The Nest™ Learning Thermostat™ programs itself in a week and adjusts itself to the schedule of the people in the house/office, to keep them comfortable and save energy.
This product is all about adding value to the users;

  • Easy to install; just replace the old thermostat with the Nest. Answer a few questions on whether it should heat or cool and between what range.
  • During the first week adjust the temperature as/when you like. Turn the temperature down when going to bed or leaving the house and up when you get up or home. The

Nest will learn to save by:

  1. Nest will automatically save energy Builds a schedule
Nest programs itself in about a week. It creates a personalized schedule based on the temperature changes you’ve made. This flexible schedule adapts to your changing life
  2. The Leaf
The Nest Leaf appears when you set a temperature that saves you energy–and money. The Leaf guides you in the right direction and helps you be energy-efficient.
  3. Auto-Away
About two hours after you’ve left the house, Nest will sense you’ve gone and adjust the temperature to avoid heating or cooling an empty home.
  4. Energy History
Nest shows you how much energy you’ve used and if your temperature adjustments, Auto-Away or the weather affected your energy use most.

Nest Sense™ is a combination of sensors and algorithms that help Nest understand what’s happening around it. It’s all built in.

  1. Activity sensors
Nest’s activity sensors have a 150° wide-angle view so Nest knows when to set itself to Auto-Away.
  2. Temperature sensors
Three temperature sensors track your home’s heating and cooling. A one-degree difference can reduce energy use up to 5%, so precision is important.
  3. Weather aware
Nest uses its Wi-Fi connection to keep an eye on current weather conditions and forecasts so it can understand how the outside temperature affects your energy use.
  4. Senses your approach
Walk up to Nest and it’ll light up, but not too brightly. Light sensors automatically set Nest’s brightness so it won’t blind you at night.

What I especially like it the flexibility and ease of use if you like to do something different from you schedule.

You can replace all thermostats in the house with Nests and they work together, Each Nest contributes information to coordinate Auto-Away in your home. Only when every Nest senses that you’re away will the Nests in your home go into Auto-Away. Once one Nest senses that you’ve returned, each Nest will return to its usual schedule.

It is always connected to you. You can adjust the temperature from the office, the car, your smartphone, your couch, anywhere. You just need Wi-Fi and an Internet connection at home. That comes in handy if you have a change of plans and come home early, the house is warm when you get there.
