Sustainability Aspects: Closing the loop by using recycled material in new finished products

Felt curtains

Floor and Friends re-uses fabrics and bonded leather to produce their hand-made carpets and wall coverings. Wool felt in 53 colours is used to make custom made or standard designs. Recycled leather strenghtens the unique character of the carpets. The wall coverings combine esthetic and accoustic value by the use of felt. And can be cut in patterns to, for instance, create flexible decorative walls/curtains
Floor & Friends make distinctly modern rugs, flooring and wall finishes by innovating with traditional materials and production methods. Wool-felt, for example, is one of the oldest types of fabric known to mankind. Naturally warm and dirt resistant, endless new applications for it can be found.
They developed a toolbox by which architects and designers can design their own design.
