That's a good thing; It is a new low in volume and material, reducing the amount of packaging required significantly.
A lucky person at
NotCot got a new MacBook Air and unboxed it, demonstrating the cardboard exterior and the pulp spacers. Apple writes in their environmental report that "The packaging of 11-inch MacBook Air uses corrugated cardboard made from over 30 percent recycled content and molded fiber made entirely from recycled content. In addition, the pac...

Let Me Count Your Money, Honey!
by: Yanko Design, 2010-11-02 09:51:08 UTC
So much cash stashed at home that fingers get tired while counting! Who wouldn’t want to live that life! The truth is that small business and maybe some households do have that kind of money, and the big counting machines currently available are inconvenient. So the solution lies in a compact Counting Ring, a simplified money counting machine. It packs in features like LED Display & Power Switch, Sheet-Separating Veins, Battery Slot and Infrared Ray Scanning. Slip it on the thumb and you’re set. My only worry would be a bundle of soiled and crumpled notes, however overall for a majority of cash-stash, this should do.

Bike Folded Sharp as a Razor
by: Yanko Design, 2010-11-03 07:03:11 UTC
There have been many folding bicycle concepts posts in the many years Yanko Design has been in business, and here’s another one. One bike might fold to a small size, one might fold in a way that allows you to wheel it around. This one folds down max, max, max. Take a look at all the previous posts with folding bike concepts in them and compare.
I cannot wait for the day when the bike folds down to the size of a wallet. That day is coming, and it’s coming soon. Did you see Transformers? It’s real stuff. This concept by Konstantin Datz is called the Azor bicycle and it folds down into basically nothing.

Know Your Wipe [NSFW]
by: Yanko Design, 2010-11-03 09:01:56 UTC
Did it even occur to you that one day you maybe wiping your hands and face with an area of your towel and the next day using the same area for ahem, “other” areas? Thanks to the guys at True Clean Towel, I’ve totally become aware of this! The solution for hygienic wipe-ups is either washing the towel everyday or using the True Clean Towel! The clever design highlights a “body”, indicating the head, bottom and torso. Using a line from their info – “While the concept is of course meant to be funny, I think many couples will, when sharing a towel, appreciate the road map!”
Based on a simple idea: knowing where you towel was the day before!
- Feel cleaner by knowing where your towel has been
- Reuse your towel in a smarter, healthier way
- Top quality: 100% heavy weight cotton with a luxurious feel, but without the luxury price tag
- Huge towel: bath sheet sized, 5 feet tall 2.5 feet wide, and will ensure a cozy, comfortable feeling and will dry you completely

keyglove
by: Designboom - Weblog, 2010-11-01 22:05:00 UTC
the keyglove is a prototype glove that enables users to have all the functionality of a keyboard and mouse in one hand.
the concept is the creation of jeff rowberg who developed the device hoping it would some day replace the standard
keyboard and mouse as a computer input device. the glove is powered by arduino and features multiple sensors that
when activated in different combinations types letters. the glove also has a built-in accelerometer that is used to move
the cursor. with a little practice, the keyglove can be used without looking, giving the user a more direct link to their
digital environment and a free hand.
